Visiting the Great Wall of China Without the Crowds: A Private Experience
We’re back from China! 🇨🇳 And today we’re sharing one of the most special days from our recent VIVE Society Group Tour : experiencing the Great Wall of China together.
Most travelers visit the Great Wall through one of the few famous entry points they see online ... often crowded & super touristy.
For our VIVE group, we wanted this day to feel completely different.
Through our local connections and professional contacts in China, we arranged to visit a quieter, more remote section of the Wall, about two hours beyond the main tourist areas.
And we didn’t just visit the Great Wall and head back to the city.
We stayed overnight at a beautiful property at the foot of the Great Wall. ( Very VIVE Style 😉 )
Each traveler had their own spacious Private Suite.
It felt like stepping back in time into a storybook. Waking up surrounded by the mountains and rural landscape, there was no mistaking where we were. We were in the real China! … experiencing a completely different side of the country.
With our private local guide and driver, we were able to step away from the crowds and experience the Great Wall at a slower, more meaningful pace.
